Virginia motorcycle permit practice test
Virginia DMV says the motorcycle knowledge exam has 25 questions based on the Motorcycle Operator Manual. This site does not have those questions yet, so this page does not include a practice quiz.
What DMV publishes
- You must pass the motorcycle knowledge exam before the motorcycle skills test.
- If you are 18 or older, DMV says you hold a motorcycle learner’s permit for at least 30 days.
- If you do not already hold a valid learner’s permit or driver’s license, you also take the two-part driver’s license knowledge exam.
- With a motorcycle learner’s permit you wear an approved helmet and eye and face protection, you do not carry passengers, and a licensed supervisor who is at least 21 rides in a separate vehicle.
Roadmap
A motorcycle practice set will be added only after each question is written from the Motorcycle Operator Manual and cited to that manual. Until then, study the manual at a DMV customer service center and use DMV’s own sample exam.
